HOW WAR WORKS
EXPERIMENTAL: this War system is one-of-a-kind - no other Rust server runs it. Expect the odd bug or glitch, and please report anything weird in Discord. Your feedback shapes it!
- War is OPT-IN. ONE side declares - the OTHER side must ACCEPT before anything starts. You are NEVER dragged into a war you didn't agree to.
- To start one: look at an enemy and hit DECLARE in the War menu, or type /war declare <name>. This only sends a REQUEST - it does nothing on its own.
- If war is declared ON you, a pop-up appears with ACCEPT / DECLINE buttons. Only your team LEADER can answer it.
- War does NOT begin unless your leader ACCEPTS. No answer in 2 min = auto-declined. Nobody is raided by surprise.
- On accept, both sides get a ~45-second prep countdown, then PvP + raiding go LIVE.
- Once live, the two sides fight & raid EACH OTHER. Only bases you OWN are targets - a base you are just authed on is never dragged in.
- Not in the fight? Type /war join <side> to jump in (your base joins the war too), or /war leave to bow out.
- Everywhere else stays PVE. Neutral players are always protected.
- Ends on the timer, or when one player from EACH side runs /war peace.
- After peace, a short loot-immunity grace stops anyone being farmed.
